Getting off a train or bus
Getting off a train or bus
You wouldn't want to get off at the wrong stop!
Transit buses do not stop at every bus stop. You will have to "request the stop" you're getting off at.
As the bus approaches your stop, pull the stop request cord, button, or tape. As a rule of thumb, it's best to request your stop after passing the preceding one.
Ringing it too early could result in the bus stopping at a bus stop where no one boards or alights. Ringing it too late results in the bus stopping at an undesired stop after yours's.
If possible, exit the bus at the rear door to allow passengers to board at the front. Additionally, the front door is necessary for seniors, strollers, and disabled passengers to exit.
Metro Rail and Metrolink make all stops on their maps.
All Metro Rail and Metrolink stations are ADA accessible via ramp, elevator, escalator.
