Increasing enrollment in Metro's Fareless System Initiative program, granting students access to free transit, unlocking an array of places to explore.
Started in the 2022-2023 school year, Metro launched its Fareless System Initiative program (FSI), or GoPass, allowing K-12 and community college students free access to public transportation on 24 transit systems across LA County.
GoPass is a transit pass loaded onto TAP cards, which are used to show valid proof of payment (fare). Students receive their TAP cards from their school and "TAP" upon boarding a bus or train.

At the Schurr Transit Club, we're hosting enrollment drives to spread awareness and increase students' access to transit. These TAP cards and events are open to all MUSD students.
At enrollment drives, we'll provide students with...

What to do when one's card is lost or stolen
Enrollment drives will take place year-round, usually during non-instructional hours, such as extended 4th period, lunch, or after school.
Upcoming enrollment drives are listed on our calendar. Please be encouraged to join and bring friends!
This Schurr Transit Club initiative is an external project, benefiting the larger community.
TAP cards and GoPass pamphlets are provided at no cost by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
